This is the second game I wanted to make as a Christmas gift. This time, for my dad! He plays Madden on weekends, and I wanted to bring at least a piece of that to his phone. Plus, I also really wanted some Unreal 5 experience, so some sort of football game sounded like a great challenge! Now given the scope of the project and the complexity of the sport, there was no way I'd be able to make an entire football game on my own. However, thinking back to my own experiences in playing Madden and NFL Quarterback Club on the SEGA Genesis, I thought of the idea of recreating QB mini-games!
Turns out, even this idea is a bit ambitious and I needed more than a couple weeks to make this game in time for Christmas. As you can see, there are still plenty of... challenges...
Development continues though! There's plenty of time to have it done by his birthday! ...Probably!
